“Frog & Peach is a jewel of Off-Broadway. You can’t find a more exhilarating evening than to join this troupe for a romp in the woods!” – Ronald Gross, NYTB Guide

The renowned Frog & Peach Theatre Company follows up their record breaking Sheen Center debut of 2017’s Macbeth with A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespeare's rollicking romp of romance, wizardry, and show biz.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream transports audiences to the palaces of Athens, and the dark, bewitching forests surrounding the kingdom, where the fairy King Oberon (Matthew Tyler) and his Queen Titania (Amy Frances Quint) are waging a deliciously romantic war. With help from the devilish Puck (Marcus Watson) Oberon casts a spell over his estranged lover, as well as the lovers Hermia (Alyssa Diamond), Helena (Bess Miller), Lysander (Jonathan Reed Wexler)  and Demetrius (Kyle Primack). Meanwhile, as the Mechanicals rehearse their tragically hilarious Pyramus & Thisby, Puck cannot resist transforming the hapless Bottom (Kevin Hauver) into a donkey. Will witchcraft spell disaster, or save the day?

With themes of sexual politics, climate change, and celebrity, A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a startlingly modern comedy.

Directed by Frog & Peach founder Lynnea Benson, the cast also features Benny AcevedoNico BourgeaisTaylor Harvey, David Elyha, Daina Njuguna, Karoline Patrick, John L. Payne, Richard James Porter, Stephanay Slade, Josh Silverman, Eric Swanson, and Steven Ungar.

With a rollicking original score by Honey West’s Ted Zurkowski and Ian McDonald (founding member of music’s legendary King Crimson & Foreigner). Lighting design by Drama Desk award winner Dennis Parichy. Choreography by Skyler Fox. Costumes & sets by the renowned designer Asa Benally of Yale University. The stage manager is Dylan Marie Parent, production manager, Johanna Ring
