Dr. Terry Golway is an historian of the Irish-American experience in New York. His chapter, "Saint Patrick's People," described the enormous influence of the Irish in the foundation of the Archdiocese of New York and the construction of St. Patrick's Cathedral. He is the author of several books, most recently, Machine Made: Tammany Hall and the Creation of Modern American Politics.
Kathryn Jean Lopez is senior fellow at the National Review Institute and editor-at-large at National Review. A nationally syndicated and Our Sunday Visitor columnist, she is a co-author with Austen Ivereigh of How to Defend the Faith without Raising Your Voice. Kathryn wrote "The World's Gifts," an essay on the spiritual mark Mother Cabrini and other immigrants left on the cathedral and the Church in New York and America.
Andy Bast was responsible for the overall project management of the Cathedral’s restoration. His chapter is entitled the “Management of Many” and explains how the strategy and overall implementation plan for this complex project was developed. As a Senior Principal with Zubatkin Owner Representation, Andy is currently overseeing building projects for the Archdiocese of New York, American Museum of Natural History, The Dalton School, and many other New York City institutions.
