Broadway's Alexander Gemignani joins forces with jazz arranger Tedd Firth to bring the Sondheim catalogue alive.

Favorite Regional: The Three Sisters (Andrei) at Cincinnati Playhouse, The Boys From Syracuse (Sergeant) at The Shakespeare Theatre of D.C. and the title character in the world premiere musical Saint-Ex at The Weston Playhouse. Concerts: The N.Y. Philharmonic at Avery Fisher Hall, The N.Y. Pops at Carnegie Hall, The L.A. Philharmonic at The Hollywood Bowl and the American Songbook Series at Lincoln Center. His solo show, All At Once, premiered at the Kennedy Center as a part of Barbara Cook’s Spotlight Series. As a composer/lyricist, he is currently developing four new musicals and composed the incidental music for the plays For The Love Of, Cadence: Home and swingset/moon. In 2012, he served as co-music director and conductor for the University Of Michigan’s production of Sunday In The Park With George and in 2013, created a new orchestration and musically directed Ragtime for Tisch School Of The Arts at NYU. He is on the faculty at NMTI at The Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop and a graduate of the University of Michigan.
TEDD FIRTH is a New York City based musical director, pianist and arranger. As
musical director and accompanist he has worked with Barbara Cook, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Maureen McGovern, Michael Feinstein, Elaine Paige, Tom Wopat, Marilyn Maye, Joshua Bell, Tony DeSare, Linda Lavin, Christine Ebersole, Lucie Arnaz, Lee Ann Womack, Faith Prince, John Schneider, Melissa Errico, Karen Akers, Mary Cleere Haran, Margaret Whiting, Carol Sloane and of course, Alexander Gemignani.
Among the jazz musicians he has performed or recorded with are John Pizzarelli, Houston Person, Frank Wess, Mark Whitfield, Red Holloway, Benny Golson and Joe Morello.
Recent highlights include being the musical director for the reunion of the original Broadway cast of "Into The Woods" at the Segerstrom Center For The Arts in Costa Mesa, CA as well as assembling and conducting a seventeen piece swing orchestra for Michael Feinstein's "Happy Holidays: Swinging With The Big Band" shows at New York's Birdland jazz club.
New York appearances include Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Blue Note, Birdland, the Iridium, the Algonquin, the Cafe Carlyle and Feinstein's at the Regency.
Numerous national appearances include a performance at the White House. As anarranger/orchestrator, Tedd's work has been performed by most major American symphony orchestras as well as Bernadette Peters and Liza Minnelli. Television appearances include "The Today Show," "Live From Lincoln Center" and "All My Children.”
